Mutriku, a municipality in the province of Guipúzcoa, Basque Country. It is located on the shores of the Cantabrian Sea on the boundary with Vizcaya. Belonging to the Bajo Deva region with a population of 5329 inhabitants.
Motrico occupies the norocidental limit of Guipúzcoa and of the region to which it belongs, yet not strictly being in the basin of the Deva, who is in a small independent basin. It extends from the mouth of the Artibai to the one of Deva being the urban core equidistant between the two points. Its coasts are cliffs where two small bays open, one is where the town center and the harbor are located and the other shared with Ondárroa,is formed by the mouth of Artibai, where the largest beach opens, the beach Saturrarán.
